Privacy policy
Effective November 7, 2026
Learn Anything! (“the app”, “we”) turns documents you upload into learning roadmaps with lessons and quizzes. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. The app is currently in beta.
Contact: privacy@learnanything.connaissance.app. Operated from the United States.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), optional display name | To create your account, sign you in, and send account emails (confirmation, password reset) |
| Documents you upload: the file, its name and size, and the text extracted from it | To generate your roadmap and show you the source pages behind each lesson |
| Search data derived from your documents: sections of text and their numerical “embeddings” | To find the passages relevant to each lesson |
| Generated content: roadmaps, lessons, quiz questions | To show you your roadmaps |
| Learning progress: pages read, quiz answers and scores, chapters completed | To track your progress and unlock the next chapter |
| Usage counts: number of roadmaps generated, storage used | To apply the beta’s usage limits |
| Technical logs: IP address, device and request information recorded by our hosting provider | To keep the service secure and fix problems |
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.
Who processes your data
Your data is processed by these service providers, only to run the app:
| Provider | What they receive | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase (hosting, United States) | All of the data above | Database, file storage, sign-in and backend |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Text from your documents | Writing your roadmap, lessons and quizzes |
| Voyage AI | Text from your documents | Creating embeddings for search |
| Resend | Your email address | Sending account emails |
| Apple (TestFlight) | Crash reports and feedback you choose to send | Beta distribution and feedback |
| Sentry | Error and crash reports: what went wrong, device and OS details, app version, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Not your name, email or documents | Finding and fixing bugs |
We use Anthropic’s API under its commercial terms, under which Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models. We have opted out of Voyage AI using our API data to train its models; under that opt-out, Voyage AI deletes the text after processing it. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy: Supabase, Anthropic, Voyage AI, Resend, Apple, Sentry.
Please don’t upload documents containing sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or identity records) or material you don’t have the right to use.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete a roadmap, its lessons, quizzes and progress are deleted; the original document stays in your library. When your account is deleted, all of your documents, roadmaps and progress are deleted. Copies in our hosting provider’s backups are removed within 7 days. Because this is a beta, we may also reset data, and will tell testers beforehand.
Your choices and rights
- See and edit your display name in the app’s Profile tab.
- Delete roadmaps from the roadmap screen.
- Delete your account and all your data at any time from Profile → Delete account. This deletes your account, documents, roadmaps and progress immediately. You can also email privacy@learnanything.connaissance.app, and we’ll act on the request within 30 days.
- Access a copy of your data, or ask any question about it: email privacy@learnanything.connaissance.app.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us to exercise them. We process your data to provide the service you’ve asked for (performance of a contract).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Each account can only access its own documents and roadmaps, which the database enforces. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Children
The app isn’t intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email.
